Unless you want your production time and budget to multiply exponentially, well, that's how animation is done. I bet you anything that if you "confronted" anyone involved in making these movies, they wouldn't hesitate one moment in admitting to using this "copy/paste" technique- it's not really even a form of "cheating", it's just part of the animation process. I know some more Disney's copy-pastes. At Robin Hood, there is an elephant who plays a trumpet that is exactly the same as another one of the Dumbo (I think) movie.<BR/><BR/>Great post!!!

I guess hypnotized by King Louie's music (he has spirals in his eyes) just before He and Bagheera try and save Mowgli. <BR/><BR/>The same animation was used for Little John in Disney's Robin Hood during the night scene where they make fun of Prince John. (or maybe the other way around, I dont know which came first.

One thing that you have overlooked is that these movies were made before computer animation. Armies of animators worked for years to create a single animated motion picture. For instance, "Snow White" took more than two years to create. When it takes that much work to create a finished product that would have cost anywhere from $0.50 to $3.00 to watch in movie theater, you try to make the process

Most animation houses will produce stock foreground and background scenes. It's the equivelent of companies like Warner Bros. building stock scenery for their early movies. Same thing with character animations. I'm sure that Disney Studios spent many hours with actors prancing around in front of animators to achieve enough stock footage for consequent animators to make the job easier on
